PHILOSOPHY

DESIGN WITH A SENSE OF HISTORY
Founder Paul Belotti was raised in Saratoga but had the privilege of spending most summers abroad. Through his academic training and travel he has studied many forms of architecture and has a deep appreciation for what each style and period offers.  He’s particularly intrigued by the opportunity to draw from traditional architecture but with modern materials and sensibilities to create truly timeless design.

DESIGN WITH A SENSE OF PLACE
There are practical aspects of designing and building a home that must be considered.  Once again, Paul’s academic training combined with years of practical experience in residential design have provided him with a keen sense of what it take to get the desired result within the client’s budget and the economics of the location and market.

DESIGN WITH A SENSE OF CONSERVATION
Understanding the benefits of “green design” is very important to the firm and our planet. Conservation and knowledge of materials and production methods can make a big difference in a project. The reuse of existing products such as furniture and building materials can achieve a desired outcome without additional waste. Window exposure, photovoltaic solar cells, insulation components, alternative heating systems, recycled products, and various lighting sources all contribute to a better understanding of ones options for a more energy conscious home.
